I am fairly new to the game - does anyone have guidance on which staff it makes sense to pay higher salaries for early in the game? For example is having the best coach possible early in the game a better investment than hiring a good scout? Is there any use to paying extra for a better Financial Manager, or will income pretty much be the same?

In my opinion (and it may well be different for other players):

Youth Coach - minimum 80% to start
Coach - minimum 80% to start.................quality training is very important

Scout - For me I went for 90+ % so I could find youth players quickly
Coach Secretary - 50 -75 is fine

The others can be low for now.

Financial Manager - get a better one if you want to negotiate better loans
Doctor - get a better one if you want faster injury recovery time
Phsycologist - get a better one if you want to boost morale quicker
Physiotherapist - get a better one if you want to recover fitness quicker.

Thanks for the good info. Any idea if a better Financial Manager has enough of an impact on sponsorship income (billboards, etc) to justify the additional salary? 11/05/2011 01:59

I have a crack staff...and continue to burn through money at huge rates to support them....

The Doctor isn't worth it...Too bad they don't have steroids in here...you could have a good doctor cover that...with no steroids, I may fire him and invest in a quack.

I get between 12-18 morale with my psych. (he's almost 90%)
Looks like I'm getting between 10-15 Fitness (80)

I haven't been able to score the best coaches yet....they're around 80...I'd rather have higher...

Gunner is right about the youth scout. The coaching secretary can help, but you aren't getting anything for free...

Oh yea, finance...

Interest rates started at 13% with a mediocre finance person...as soon as I got a better one, they went down to 5%...but now they are over 14% again...so there may or may not be a correlation with interest rates. I can also space it out over 25 weeks.

I can get a tremendous amount of credit, but that may be because my club is worth more.

The stadium offers I'm may or may not offset the difference... (5 games / week)

Does all of this = $300+ a week? It is likely very close to a wash or net negative. I would shoot for 70-80% on the finance guy. This guy should be able to arbitrage the market or do something magical for what I'm paying him.

These guys have got to have some wild parties and drive serious cars.

Hahaha, imagine if the devs put off-pitch discipline features into the game - our collective addiction to Striker would probably get a lot worse ...

This game did not take long to extract revenge....less than 12 hours.

I had 2 players seriously injured today (3-4 weeks...) I need injured reserve.

Do you get extra spots on your roster for injured players?

Hm, seem agreeable. Actually, I got 90% Coach and Young Coach when I was in Div 6. I think its really depend if you want to train, have young players and can afford. It's worth and important.

I'm ok with 70% of other staff. My financial is 84 don't know if it help maximum the credit, chance to better contract and lower players offer salary or not , but because it's sound professional, lol.
