When a player joins, he has a 10 day protection in which nobody can buyout his player. This is to ensure that a proper learning time is given to the newbie so he is not thrashed by the existing players.. 24/08/2011 16:02

I think that this (the 10 day period) is one of the good rules in the game

I also think there should be a transfer penalty if you hostile a player from a lower division. Maybe 20% for each division you have to go down

i.e. if a division 3 player manager hostiles a poor noob division 7 player, he would have to pay an extra 80% (jumping 4 divisions) of the contract of the player, the money would go to the noob division 7 manager's club. The max should be 100% (division 1 and 2 would both have to pay an extra 100% for a division 7 player).

Seriously, this game needs some protection. It takes a while to learn, and the search function is not the greatest for this forum...

And about rising salaries... I'm pretty sure that in 2 or 3 seasons I'll be able to pay my players $1000000 a week and junk like that, but I really don't want to. And when I have $, I'm really tempted (actually, I just do it...) to hostile like a dictator bent on world domination... Ah, the poor noobs that are scared off... Some new (simple, easy to understand) rules need to be put into place.

I've suggested a simple team salary cap (that rise as you go up in division). If you really think about it, it should even out the playing field, even with all the system bots (the number of bots really needs to go down too).

Ex: (in addition to this, have a transfer penalty as described above).
Total team salary (NOT average salary!!!)
Division 7: 500000
Division 6: 600000
Division 5: 700000
etc...
Division 1 & 2: 1000000

The reason for division 1 and 2 being the same is that division 1 is more of an elite league. You really have to know what you are doing at the top.
The reason for the top bracket being double the bottom bracket is simple math. With the transfer penalty, the players in division 7 are still protected (because a division 1 or 2 player would have to pay double to hostile!)

I know alot of people will say READ THE RULES... but honestly, who reads instructions for anything nowadays?

i dont agree
u say if u got money u can buy any player, thats true
but if player value is 5M and he put 10M clause will u buy him??
if there is salary cap why then managers make money(build stadium,buy-sell,e.t.c)they will have 1 billion$ and team like every1 else?
and i think if there is salary cap there will be more hostile clauses
ex. u got 3 players 80+ avg u protect them with high salary, other players in teams will be 40-50 avg or 70 with low clause and every one will hostile them
just my point of view

good points, but you can't hostile anymore if you are at your cap
If someone's total team salary is 595000 and the limit is 600000, then they have to make room (i.e. sell a player) to buy a player.

That's the whole point of a salary cap.

Again, good points, but I think you see the need for some sort of control.
