First I think it's a good idea to put players whose contract expires not up for auction with a starting prize 0 as it was at the beginning of this season but for a "appropriate prize" as stated in the announcement. But that raises the question what this "appropriate prize" will be, i.e. how it will be determined. So how will this be calculated and what will it be, say compared to the buyout clause prizes of players in freshly generated teams? Will it be the same? Half? Or what? |

@ranru said: These players will be automatically put to auction with a price appropriated to the average, age and position of the player. So if their average is 50 , 20 years old , GK . Starting price can be 5 million Edited by @Uruguay1950 12-06-2011 22:12 |

Thanks a bunch. That sounds a lot fairer than 3 months ago. | 12/06/2011 22:26 |

I still think the starting price should have stayed 0. It gives a chance to the new managers with a small budget to get good players too. | 13/06/2011 08:37 |

I back cristiano...just like in the real world, wen a players contract expires,he is a free agent and any team can take him withou payin...rather leave it to the bidding managers to determine the price...thats fairer. | 13/06/2011 17:16 |

Except will there be any good players left over once the bigger teams with bigger wallets snatch them all up? |

Ninochi the sheikh mansour's and abromavichs of this game will still get anyone with a fixed price if they wanted to...bidding is more of who's server is faster at the last minute of the bidding...much better. | 13/06/2011 17:31 |

There should be good players left over if all inactive players are released to the market. The question is, with a market saturation, would the prices determined (roughly equal to initial release clause based on ability?) by admin really be reflective of their actual value? or will it create an artificial price floor? |

I note that your top 5 players were all bought for £0 in the last end-of-season. |

What choice did I have? Keep my old team I carefully built and loose against all these teams, which scooped up top players for free? Because I could watch the other managers in my league strengthening their teams by the minute, it seemed. To be competitive I had to fire pretty much my entire team to get myself I new one, much stronger and pretty much for free. I didn't only get my five top players for free or close to that, but my entire team. I'm prepared to do the same this season if we're playing to the old rules. That means I would benefit from the old rules, because, unless last time, I knew all along what might be coming and I'm better prepared this time, but that would take the fun out of this game. That's not what this game should be all about. It should be all about strategic thinking and building up a great team by developing Your players, not about firing everybody and having enough time during the critical 3 days or so to be able to cream a ridiculously flooded market. I'm sure last season's crazyness drove away quite a few serious managers, those who didn't have enough time during the great topplayer giveaway and who were stuck with their inferior teams for the rest of the season. |
