Should these managers be punished for buying free players in the last 24 hours

Signin free players is not against the rules, its signing the free bug players, that is. So how do u differentiate between the two? Remember there are still those who were fired by active managers to sign the buggies. The link i posted in my thread points 2 a "missing parameters" bug player. The reason why many are complainin is not because of them not being able to sign the players but its because these buggies unbalanced the game. So dont fight amongst each other, the only way for this to be sorted is to have admin explain to all of us whats really going on. Who signed buggies and who signed legitimate free agents. | 23/06/2011 07:54 |

@ Romasik2000 Possibly you may not have been around for the chaos over the weekend so you are lashing out without all the information. Please take time to read this thread, especially about admin accusing us of cheating when we are looking for out of contract players with our coach sec, which as you pointed out is part of the game. http://uk.strikermanager.com/foros/hilo.php?id=256390 As you will notice I did not participate in that discussion - I was happy to take the -20% punishment. But subsequent to that, free agents came onto the market again from a bug and not from auction and then these players were signed and thats unacceptable. All managers were sent a message by @ranru that this is cheating so how can it be allowed now. Once you have read it, I will be happy to discuss this again. |

Just to follow up: My explanation from admin as to why my complaint was invalid is that THESE PLAYERS WERE SIGNED AFTER AN AUCTION Did anyone actually see these players on auction? I would like to know because I did not. I suspect these were all loan players returning to non existing teams and so becoming free agents - you can see that in the players history. Even if they were on auction then what 300 managers did over the weekend and monday was NOT ILLEGAL in any way and should not have been punished at all! This is a double standard that admin need to sort out ASAP Allow free players to go on auction just once - starting at 0 so everyone can bid and DELETED permanentely after auction. So lets have an answer from admin please. In particular I would like an answer from @rand |

Either the rules are been broken or they are not.But at least let people know! People are either gaining massively, or losing out big time. 'Fairness' have been quoted some many times since the weekend, yet the admins continue to let this drag on. Either have a fair system or not. |

I say that all free players should be auction type players in a separate and OBVIOUS timed auction (timed from the first bid) "free agent/player section" from now on. What's done is done. This pool should include: 1. All players whose managers did not resign them 2. All players from managers whose teams have gone inactive 3. Players that have been fired 4. The once in a while created superstars 5. Players whose teams could not afford to pay them for 2 in game weeks in a row. 6. Basically, any player without a team. And any player in this pool that is not bid on for a set period of time, should just be deleted. MAKE IT OBVIOUS. Most people DO NOT LOOK AT THE DETAILS when playing a game. Maybe the $ from the free players auctions can go to the managers (in cases 1 and 5) or into funding tournaments, team bail outs and paying admin's salaries or something Sorry for the CAPS, but that's my 2 cents. BTW, I voted "no" the managers should not be punished, even though I did not sign a free player (though I had just one opportunity after the "crisis" earlier this week). I really feel that if the system allows it, why not? If a manager is smart enough to use his scout and CS properly, then he/she will be able to find good players at a low cost (free at times). It happens in real life sometimes (a player who was never drafted gets picked up by a team on one week contract, etc). And honestly, to me, it made sense that players who's managers did not renew would be available to pick up, I was just lucky enough to not have anyone else pick him before me. The reason I did not sign any free players in the last 2 days is because I found out that the admins and a very select few group of managers think it's not fair. Everyone has access to these free players when they become available. Either stop the freebies, or put some OBVIOUS, CLEAR free agent rules in place that are locked down by the system. |

Mate, sign free players is ok, sign bug free players brake the rule. Bug players already deleted or deduct 10%, any free players find by yours Scout are very ok to sign. |
