Having a team salary cap (example, total player salary can't exceed $250000 for each week, staff salaries not included). Would add some parity for the top managers in the league. This would keep the guy with LOTS of $$ from hostile clausing a HORDE of awesome players and would be add a nice realistic dimension to the game. Maybe the higher divisions could have a higher salary cap too. And noobs would not really be affected by this rule, since they don't have the $$ to spend anyways |

Bad idea. High salaries are the only protection for the small teams to keep the rich teams from pillaging their carefully built up talent. Don't take that away from them! |

I was thinking totally the opposite. If a small team has good players, they can sign them for a good salary. Small teams will not have that many good players, so they won't have to worry about coming anywhere near the salary cap. While the big money teams will always have to worry about salary caps. That's the whole point of salary caps Wiki it |

Can't have a salary cap until tactics are more important in the game. then only at the lowest levels. Making it so that ghosted teams aren't looted two weeks after they're created is a major problem... |

It's not gonna happen. Don't even bother. But 250K salary cap is way too low if it did go in place. I have an average squad and my weekly salaries are over 600K... Edited by Romasik2000 06-07-2011 00:38 |

It would be nice, eventually though. Actually, even thinking about the ghost teams, those players that you sign, you'll still have to keep under cap... Yah, I was just using 250K as a lowball example |

i think salary caps shouldn't be an issue until there's more divisions filled out, when teams are really making a killing playing in the top division and truly pulling away from the bottom leagues in terms of talent. save the real parity for when it's really needed...right now there should be some sort of revenue sharing system or positional prize money at the end of each season. a division by division salary cap would possibly work better, but again only when we start filling the divisions where the majority of the teams are active and parity becomes more important. |

I don't agree. The owners could pay whatever they want as he could afford it. That's fair. | 06/07/2011 08:49 |
