Pay his release clause. Klick "contract", than "hire". Than make the highest possible offer. 24 hours later he'll be back, without his present owner having to agree to the transfer, just as You weren't ask when he took him from You.

The next thing You should consider is raising his salary to bring his release clause to a level where he is not attractive for potential buyers. Then he might stick with You longer this time around.
