Fernando Torres has no business being in this poll. He couldn't hit the side of a barn with a pregnant sheep. Mind, the first goal he scored against Man United was a nice finish. The second chance he had...... And I say this as a United fan..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14869914.stm |

I gotta say I'm going with Luiz Suarez myself. Or maybe one of the Man City lot. | 12/10/2011 21:25 |

There's nothing complicated about it. Chelsea paid GBP 50,000,000 for Torres and he didn't score for them last season and can count on one hand the number of goals he has scored this season. What truly staggers me is that Ambramovich is happy to kill a manager if they're not securing Champions League glory, but a player the completely mis-fires (and I add, a player who has a proven goal-scoring pedigree) and Roman sits on his hands. That's kinda like me buying a mansion and only the bloomin' toilet works. Meanwhile, Alex Ferguson buys Javier Hernandez from Guadalajara for something like GBP 6,000,000 (a comparative bargain!!) and Hernandez goes on to score 20 goals in all competitions for Manchester United. Can you say "Return On Investment"?? Manchester United has other players that can score goals - Wayne Rooney, Luis Nani, Chris Smalling, Danny Welbeck, even Anderson can bag goals. Ryan Giggs is still knocking them in from time to time. That's a total of seven proven goal-scorers there. The fact is, Torres needs to pull his flippin' socks up, 'cause if I were Ambramovich, I'd be watching him like a hawk, and if he failed to deliver, he'd be shipped off in the January transfer window, and I'd wear the resulting egg on my face. |

Although Rooney is leading the charts but I think Luis Suarez has a very good chance of overtaking him. | 14/10/2011 15:14 |

He had a great game against Arsenal, and similarly at Bolton Wanderers, but then seemed to fluff it against Chelsea - especially with THAT penalty. Here's hoping there's fun times to be had away at Liverpool. |
