I think it's because a) they moonlight as ninjas in their spare time, going around stealing as much money as they can before dawn on monday mornings and b) they're so tired after their late-night antics that they sleep during the day, then work only on overtime (1.5x pay). Pirates are much better workers - captive workers, nowhere to go but jump into the shark-infested waters |
