No, if free juniors are deleted then the managers with schools will put their juniors on market instead of firing them. furthermore, prices of juniors are really low anyways compared to seniors. Havent you seen 30+ juniors sell for 100-200k? while the same average senior would sell for 500k+? |

If you can't beat them join them, thats what i did. I built a school in netherlands at the begining of the season, and i've fired most of the players. Free juniors have helped to reduce the financial burden. | 11/09/2011 08:19 |

No. Do they ever make these "abandoned" players into stars as we can? Rarely. Does one team do it 30 times a year and make tones of cash off it? No (would the La Liga and Serie A strikes happen if this were possible?). So though it may happen in real life from time to time, this is a highly unrealistic simulation of that. For me, this isn't about "I don't do it, I don't want other people to do it either...". I just want to bring things to the attention of the masses when I disagree with them so we don't come to another situation where people are uninformed and/or discontent with the way things work. If the masses disagree with me, then I'm more then happy to scoop up tones of juniors for free and sell them to unsuspecting newbies for a profit. I disagree with it, but if thats what we want, then thats what one has to do to stay afloat. I just want to make sure the masses do disagree before I go and take advantage of it. |

In real life scouts can see the potential of the players before they get signed, in this game you can't see it unless you sign a player and check his FC, so for me if I sign a junior that my scout found and he has good potential, I'm keeping him. If the player if a flatliner, or doesn't have 70+ potential, I'm gonna sell him. Your post was about people signing free juniors, and that's what I was talking about in real life where scouts find players in minor leagues, schools etc. Those teams don't have to pay transfer fees because most of those players are not under a contract, thus free players. "If the masses disagree with me".... they do disagree with you. My suggestion to you and people who agree with you, if you see a player on the market that was a "free" player, just don't buy him. That way you'll stand behind your ideas, and will not interfere with other people's business. Without new juniors available for players, price for them will go way up, because you'll only be able to get them from schools. My team is well established and I have some excellent quality schools, so I don't mind that. But then you'll have people complaining about teams like me who spent $60-70M on schools and now control the junior market. Not everyone has that kind of money to build good quality schools. |

I think getting some free players is good. However, when a 45 avg player can be signed for virtually no cost is just stupid. A good scout is 300,000+ salary, you get paid back with the sale of just one player. Not to mention you can get complete searchings twice a day with a quality scout. Theres not enough of an emphasis on building schools as of right now. Hopefully in the future the only 80+ fc junior players you can get come from schools. | 12/09/2011 02:47 |
