Regarding and Indian school, I don't think it would be a bad idea as long as the players coming out of the school had progressions no higher than 30%. I haven't heard of a single playeer on it and they all play in the Indian League, which is not exactly the Barclay's Premier League) Also, India has yet to play a World Cup. i am an Indian and i don't think we need a school in India because the rating would be very low (justifiably so) and the market would be flooded with low quality players because after all in spite of being an Indian i won't stock my team with 30-40 progression/forecast players even if they are from an Indian school.... so i don't see a use of Indian school except as a show of pride and patriotism... and if we come to that then we will have demands of numerous more schools |

To all those who keep on saying that Indians can't play football and all that, I have to say only 1 thing. Check your data first. Indians used to play way before most of your countries heard about football. "Durand Cup and IFA Shield was started in late nineteenth century making them two of the oldest football competitions in the world" ( directly copied from Wiki). And we played pretty good too. 1950. "India were invited by FIFA and the Brazilian Football Federation participate in the fourth World Cup in Brazil after a number of countries pulled out of the tournament that year, but the team couldn't take part as most of its players played the game barefooted, and, as per the stipulation of the world body, wearing shoes was mandatory","The Indian team also won gold medals in football at the 1951 and 1962 Asian Games, and finished fourth at the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne. 1951-1962 is usually considered as "golden phase" of Indian football" (another copy from Wiki). Well we went downhill from there due to myriad reasons. And we are now near almost the bottom. But just don't judge us on our recent performances, Indians are still passionate about football, Some matches still attract more than 1 Lakh spectators. We have recently started a professional league at last. So, there is still hope. I am not writing this to beg about having some school in this game. It is up to the devs and so to speak, the truth is, it actually means nothing really. But what I want to say is this: Anybody can have opinion, all I ask( politely of-course) is not to disrespect our Footballing culture. It might not be great, but it is what we have ! |

Doesn't matter for me whether you make a new school or not. But if you will change the ratings of older schools, please study it before you do anything as i spent quite a bit on schools and it would be a pain seeing my money go down the drain. Id be happy if ratings went up, and sad if ratings went down. That's all i have to say. |
