In India, Football has gained popularity only in last 2-3 years... It is very much on the rise now, and the sports bar here are more busy during a football match than during a cricket or tennis match...

Infact, India will have 5 youth academies from top teams including Barca, Liverpool and Bayern Munich by 2012...

THere is some real talent waiting here to be groomed..

S. Korea is always top 2 in Asia and "is the most successful Asian football team in the history of the FIFA World Cup", but the school is rated only 2.5 stars (50%). Lots of S.Korea players (and Japanese players) in the Euro leagues now, but almost no Chinese (are there any Chinese) or Indian players. Population does not have much to do with it, it's more along the lines of interest level.

But that said, it would be fun to have more "ethnicity" in this game. And point well taken... India, if they really focus on Football, will do very well in a few years.

Put in India, and raise the level of the school in S.Korea!

Primal it has nothing to do with the amount of players from india, it has to do with the depth of the sport in the countries culture as well as the skill.

In Cote D'Ivoire football is life to them, in India not so much, so even though CIV doesn't have as many players here, they still have a school.

Good point but...

But it's nice, being from that country, to have a school that matches you ethnicity. I'm a 2nd Gen Korean living in North America, and I'm still a bit miffed that S.Korea's school only has a 2.5 ball rating!

It just makes the game more fun, having players you can relate to... Okay, we are such nerds, but we live in a digital world.

Drogba, Toure brothers and other high profile players surely add weight for CIV inclusion. 13/09/2011 21:27

Voronin - superstar player, Shevchenko - superstar player... Shakhtar Donetsk was in Champions League quarter final this year.... no school for Ukraine. I know how some of you feel, but I just deal with it. Did I mention that we host the Euro 2012?
