World Known 99 round 2 review After round 1 was full of teams not showing up we skip to round two of the new world known 99 league, nicknamed "gangsters". Lethal Gang vs. GIANTS FC Lethal Gang came into the game knowing GIANTS FC's defense had a tendency to crack, shown vs. Dark Brazil F.C. on Saturday where an own goal from RB mike wittney and 2 conceded in the final 2 minutes condemned them to a 6-3 defeat. Yesterday they had a mission of redemption vs. Lethal Gang. But the game started poorly for them as they conceded a free kick 15 minutes in, and Novak Ristiojevic sent his driven free kick into the wall only to get his own rebound and score low from 11 yards. But alrez showed that he could equalize under pressure 21 minutes gone. It came from yet another free kick but a great effort from bob Hartley which took a deflection made it 1-1. Then after just 3 minutes Lethal Gang got their precious league back in the 24 minute. Maurice Adams ball across to Novak Ristvojevic who easily finished making it 2-1. And it was Ristvojevic who finished the game off in the 64 minute with a bending effort from the edge of the area. PFCUK vs. Fount fc On paper PFCUK would win easily but they had lost 7-0 to hopesolo a day before. Remember Cristóbal Rivera? The original top scorer of striker manager in season 1? Well he started and it wasn’t the last time you would hear his name in this match. 2 minutes in he opened the scoring with a brilliant tap in from a Lewis Johnston cross. 8 minutes gone and it was 2-0 Rivera scoring an identical goal to his first. His 3rd goal was a brilliant bending effort from right outside the area. A deflected pass came to Rivera again who scored his 4th of the game from ANOTHER tap. Bobby Thomas scored for PFCUK but it wasn’t going to be their night when a minute later Rivera scored his 5th with another curler. His 6th was a repeat of Thierry Henry as he jumped up a handled the ball twice into the net. He scored a 7th after going through. Then Thomas scored his 2nd for PFCUK. Finally Lewis Johnston added to his 3 assists with a goal for himself. Deception vs. Dark Brazil F.C. Despite their awesome comeback Saturday, kaka101's side was in crisis going into their game vs. deception. It showed a lot as deception ran riot winning 4-0. Rusdy Terenyum hit a hat trick, His first being a world-class volley, his second a cool slotted finish, and his third a left footed turnaround effort. Phil Painter also scored. Dirtnap Ninjas vs. Manchester United F.C. This game was abandoned after the Manchester Untied F.C. fans attacked the pitch. Dirtnap Ninjas were given a 3-0 win. BACK OFF vs. SUPER STRIKERS F.C. The game started out when Nigerian RM Jeremy Ohen sent a great through ball for CF Albert Jahn he smashed the ball one time in the top corner of the net 9 minutes in to make it 1-0 BACK OFF. Then 30 minutes gone BACK OFF scored again this time LIM Brett Ross copied Ohen with an identical through ball the Albert jahn who slotted home one time again, 2-0 BACK OFF, and it was looking like easy stuff for the away side. But SUPER STRIKERS F.C. was not going to give up easily. 39 minutes in and they were back in it with a goal from “Bright” after a great Jan-Olaf Bothe pass, 2-1, game on. Then in the 54th minute BACK OFF’S nightmare started, when a freak pass from Brian willmont found martin nickel on the edge of the area in a tight corner but somehow squeezed the ball passed to keeper and between the post, 2-2. Then SUPER STRIKERS F.C. destroyed the heart of tolufc and BACK OFF fans when an angled Julius Basler corner found “Bright” who brilliantly volleyed the ball into the net with his left foot, making Ramzero and crew rejoice, 3-2 final score. Real Madrid vs. Solo United The last match on Sunday was Solo United vs. Real Madrid. Solo United opened the scoring when Melvin Patterson sent a through ball to Javier Calero who sent a one-time cross to Drew Pierce who slotted the ball home which took a big deflection off defender Dorin Gabu. Real Madrid equalized when Feyyaz Kostepen a perfect cross to Andreas Ludwig who sent a deflected strike into the bottom corner. Then a minute till half time Solo United scored their winner through Javier Calero who added to his assist. Melvin Patterson sent a good through ball to Calero who cheekily chipped home. |
