We know nothing. Simple as that. Just be judicious with your friendlies.

well we haven't played friendlies for 2 days previously so i assumed that yesterday we could play up to a maximum of 9 games and then my team stopped receiving requests, so 3 games a day; stopped friendlies for 2 days so 9 games yesterday would be reasonable. Also, not everyday is available for us to play on, my next friendly would be on friday, so i lose today and tommorrow's friendlies which are 6 until friday which im going to assume that the system is going to let us play another 9 more to make up for the lost days. it really is fair, no cheating is going on... days are missed and friendlies are all accumulated on one day. 27/09/2011 13:52

If there ever was a punishment, it would be against the teams who have extremely exploited the bug. I'm talking about the teams who are sitting with a ridiculous sum of money from 100's of friendlies. Honestly, I can say I've played maybe one or two extra games on maybe two days, but some less than three and other days where I don't play at all. I request friendlies, get sent requests, and so I accidently get a few more games but not to the point where I'm rolling in income. Don't get paranoid about punishments if you're one of those who played maybe an extra or two games because the majority here have. 27/09/2011 14:02

By your logic, all the @ who have been playing unlimited friendlies should be punished more than people like us because they have a much more intimate knowledge of the sim.

This knowledge is not that huge of an advantage. It takes about 10-12 games to figure out the most important aspects of the simulator, tweaking after that is tweaking. 30 games is enough to choose a primary and a secondary formation. Thus, teams who played fewer games would nullify the advantage by the 3rd week.

A much bigger advantage would come from stadium enhancements and better players. Money is king. If a guy gets 3 more sets of VIP seats from this, that's a HUGE structural advantage that would permanently set them ahead.

Hence, I think an upper limit on income is far more significant as a means to level the playing field. I also still assert that cheating is cheating if specifically described as such. For instance, it is legal to steal other team's top players by buying through hostile clause. In the real world this would be bribing and illegal. The goal of the admins is to make a dynamic, fun game. The best way to do this is to fix the sim bugs by season start and to ensure no one gets a fiscal advantage into the start of the season. Meting out arbitrary punishments has the wrong effect, it makes the game seem more like a chore.

At the end of last season teams were punished for picking up free players. The admins made it clear at that time if you find a bug you should report it and not exploit it.

If you have played more than 3 friendlies a day you have exploited a bug and the admins should be consistent and set out a punishment. This time they should be harsher in their punishments because people can't claim ignorance of the rules as they have done previously.

There is a difference between those who have played a few extra games accidentally, and those who have tried to systematically exploit this bug. If you have played a few extra games having the money and experience removed seems fair.

If however the number of extra games is large then things become really unfair. If someone has played 60 friendlies they will not only have extra money and player experience but will have so much extra experience with the simulator that they will have a massive tactical advantage. I have played about 15 games and have been adjusting my tactics little by little for every one and have only just scratched the surface. Is it fair I should play someone who has played 4 times the friendlies as me, in a league match, and has resolved tactical problems I haven't had a chance to address yet?

Is it the best managers who win or those who are better at exploiting the bugs?
