Child's coach
Hi,
I know training is an important way of helping a young player develop his skills, but does starting him help him become a better player!
I know it increases his experience, but I doubt that it actually increases any of his skills......

The amount a player improves is, in part, determined by their motivation level. When they start, in their position of choice, they are most motivated. When that are on the bench, in the reserves, or starting out of their normal position, they're motivation will be lower than optimal -this results in less successful training efficiency.

Keep in mind that many things effect training. These include the type of training being implemented, the progression quality of the particular player, the motivation of that player, and the quality of coaching staff you have.
