I feel that I will be promoted to Div 4 next season.(I was demoted from Div 4 earlier) That is going to be more tough so I need to invest with a long term strategy in mind.
What should I adopt?

Currently, I am trying to make smart buys for the youth team (as per my pocket) and play private leagues and as many friendlies so as to give my second string team a chance to get experience and earn some useful revenues.

Is this approach correct?
What should I adopt so as to be better prepared?

The big thing I would say at the moment is to improve your stadium. You need some pro seats badly.

Alright. Will upgrading standing seats to general help?
I read somewhere that its better to convert standing to general rather than having pro seats.

It'll help a bit. But honestly, if you want to start bringing in big money, which you will need to survive in div 4, then Pro and VIP seats are what you need.

One of your main problems with your ticket income is that you have 14000 partners(season ticket holders). Raise the price of your partners ticket price, mine are at 1500 and I've still got lots of season ticket holders.

actually it won't help, your season ticket holders will nick all your new general seats. 12/11/2011 11:05

Stadium stadium stadium. Bigger better seats.

Increase season tickets to max so they leave or pay out next season.

Friendlies are tough way to make cash.

Training a good youth position or 2 to sell when they get over 70 is long term.

How should I price the tickets? One of the suggestions was to increase the ticket price for partners. I did it and upped it from $60 to $200. But then I got a message that "you should consider reducing the prices as the attendance is low". How to deal with this? Does all this matter?

What should be the ideal pricing? OR what is the way to arrive at the optimum price.?

You are aware that partner prices are season tickets, not general. You want that price a lot higher than $200. Your general level is going to be relative to the level you are at and the quality of your team. BUt as you have 16000 partners right now you don't have a lot of capacity available for single game sales. 17/11/2011 15:15

I'm at division 6 and my season tickets cost 500, with a rising tendency man... You're missing too much income! Partners pay that money once and they get to see all your games in a general seating, so you are losing too much money there...

Wow, thanks for the tip guys. I had my season tickets @ $300 since i did optimize and thats what was given.

As for long term strategy, i went with building a good stadium as well. Will have 18k vip next week, 24k pro, etc etc (although i had to invest 60mill). I had a similar stadium in the beginning of this season and it was tough. You wont have enough to build a better team with all the costs. I actually wanted to move down. Lol
I started earning when i built pro and vip. Im hoping i will survive demotion.
