I used to keep doing temporary promotion so that certain Junior players would get first team experience, but now I do not have the option called temp promotion for some of my juniors. Why is that? Will I be able to temporarily promote them again in a few days? |

You can only temp promote two players at a time, and you can only temp promote a player twice in the same season. | 14/11/2011 03:05 |

Only twice? Holy crap. There is a 14 year old. How long before he is ready for promotion? | 14/11/2011 03:10 |

Or to rephrase, when exactly does a player become ready for promotion. Cause promoting someone prematurely really damages their average. | 14/11/2011 03:17 |

PROMOTION: players become ready for promotion when a yellow P appears in a circle next to their name. You will get a message from the youth coach when this happens. You do not have to promote a player until the P turns red, which happens only when the player turns 19 years old. Players become ready to promote when they reach this average: average:age ========== 81:14 71:15 61:16 51:17 41:18 Promoting a junior before the yellow P appears will temporarily damage his morale severely, and reduce both his maximum possible average and useable life as a player. TEMPORARY PROMOTION: temporary promotion places a junior player on the senior squad for 72 hours from the moment you click "Temp. Promote." In that time, if you play the junior in the starting line-up, his motivation increases greatly to a maximum of 131% plus stadium accessory increases. When that youth returns to the junior squad, his motivation increases again to a maximum of 162% plus stadium accessory increases until the next junior game. For these reasons, the best time to temporarily promote a junior is on Tuesday afternoon between the time of your league game and the training that evening. Slightly less good is immediately after the Tuesday night training. |

Does a player gain more by staying in Juniors (when they get the yellow P) or is it just as good to bring them up to the main squad? | 14/11/2011 06:49 |

This is a good question. Probably staying in juniors would edge it because of the temp promotion motivation gain. If you have a way better senior coach it may be better to promote and viceversa. If you are training his position more in juniors than seniors it would be better to leave him as a junior and viceversa If you promote and he starts games he will gain experience points and hence extra skills. This may be a telling factor when he is 30 yrs old with a 80+ average and 20 skill points, he will no doubt be a very strong player. |
