I think I read somewhere that when receiving offers from another club you take the team and cash with you. Is this correct or will I inherit the club as it is? Or is there another way it works 07/01/2012 13:19

apparently from what i read it's a clean swap of your team and stadium with his. what you inherit is just his position in that league and the chance discuss sponsorships and tv deals again.

example :
X is in Div 4 with an average 50+ squad and a 60k stadium.
Y is in Div 5 with an average 40+ squad and a 48k stadium.

following the acceptance of the offer :
Y is now in Div 4 with his 40+ squad and 48k stadium.
X will be in Div 5 with a squad average of 50+ and 60k stadium.

reasoning (my interpretation) :
the makers of the game wanting to phase out system bot teams. thus explaining a downward trajectory of teams all the way down to div 7. from which new users will come in and the team taken will be reseted.

N.B: anyhoooo i may be wrong but i was looking through the forum about this as well as last season when i was in Div 6. i had an offer to take a Div 5 team with 6k pro seats and after some research through the forum i knew my ragtag team of well meaning no gooders wouldn't survive the slaughterhouse. anyway, good luck with it if you've been offered something!

You do not get to swap stadiums - you keep everything except your position in the table. This includes your staff, your money, and your current contracts (which you probably won't be able to renegotiate until the start of the next season). Additionally, moving to Div 5 and up requires stadium accessories, so make sure you are prepared to invest in those before you make the jump.
The best advice given by ouchlar is to see if you can survive in the new division. It's better to win a lower division that to constantly lose in a higher one (morale and income drop, possibility of relegation, etc).

I'm in div5 with a descent team but not looking at winning the league with them at the moment, just building for the future. I have an offer in div4 but if the case is that I will just get absolutely killed with the current team I might just pass it up. I see the logic behind it with the system bots but doesn't really encourage someone to take up an offer in another div. Wouldn't it be better to simply take over the team as is, finances and all. If you are receiving the team then your current team would move down and be reset. surely this tactic is getting rid of higher average rating players. A team of maybe 35avg players replacing 45avg just forces the better players out the game. Be more logical for a manager to get the team as is. Also mean that the we would have to take into account the long term team plan you currently have. E.g. Building youngsters for two seasons and then get an offer in a higher div, need to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages. 07/01/2012 14:31

when u move from a div to other u change place with that team on its board .. here the only advantage is that u will get much more income from stadium... it would be ur decision whether to go there are continue

my advice : continue in current league and get better players

You will have your stadium, money, players, schools, everything.

You will just be taking over his position in your new division.
