 1 .- The speed of the defenders will be reduced if you place them out of their position. That is, a defender located near the middle of the field, will move slower (the exact percentage of the reduction is around 30%, depending on the quality of the player and how far he is from the area)

<@Rand> we calculate a "speed penalty value"
<@Rand> depending where the player ( only defenses ) is
<@Rand> if he is at the central circle, speed penalty = 1
<@Rand> if he is on his own goal line, speed penalty = 0
<@Rand> anywhere between those points, the value is interpolated

Devs will see how this pans out, if its too harsh on the defenders, they will look at starting the 0 speed penalty further up in the natural defender zone.

5 .- Headers have been implemented in the simulator.

 So if i understand this correctly, irrespective of if you play high defence, or your defenders have naturally moved up as your team moves into offence, the defenders overall position between the goal line and the halfway line will determine the speed penalty. 13/01/2012 10:11

 I like the recent update in the game but i have 2 points with Strikers being more smart and powerful

1.GK's still jumps after the ball passed through him in a free kick now, i mean see here http://uk.strikermanager.com/partido.php?id=5386534&accion=simul&turno=750, i mean it's not fair that a 75 saves GK not being able to save a goal from a 45 finishing striker there

2.Strikers do not pass to players who are offside as often as they did but still defenders kick out the ball which results in a cornor which again results in easy goal because of new FIX to the striker, in real life no one would do it, they will try to make it a throw in.

I know that they might be working on this but all these issues are inter related to each other, fixing one and leaving out other makes the game more dependent on a single position like strikers with high finishing and again the question of Inflation kicks in. 		13/01/2012 14:25
