How do you think the system should handle the case of direct purchase price less than asking bid?
Allow it, and don't prevent people from paying direct purchase fee if their balance is less than the

 There's a bug in the auction system in the (strange) circumstance where the "direct purchase" amount is less than the current asking bid. if you don't have enough money to bid in the auction, but you do have enough to make the purchase, the system will nonetheless not allow you to make the purchase.

This situation itself is inherently problematic, and could never happen in real life.

OT1H, some part of me feels that if a seller is foolish enough to set a direct price below the opening bid of the auction - or a bidder doesn't bother checking the direct purchase price before bidding higher, then the law of fools and their money should be allowed to take effect.
OTOH, the logical part of me says that the system should not allow the direct purchase price to be less than the opening bid, and as soon as the auction bid hits the direct purchase price, the auction should close and the person who bid the direct purchase price should immediately get the player.

I'm ambivalent as to which option to choose, but either way the bug should be fixed. 		02/02/2012 10:57
