Is it against the laws of the game to rename a player with a say "forecast 89" and his release clause set at an affordable price ?
I see a player like this but want to buy and Im also thinking he might not be near that forecast
Im sure its classed as cheating so if anyone can send link regarding this I would be greatful

No its not that I am thinking of doing it.The way worry I have is that I am interested in a player that is renamed but I have my dought if the player is as good as his rename number suggests. If I do buy him then what would happen the manager I would have bought him from if he was not that good ?

I wonder how to see forecast ? Currently, I can only see forecast for new players fresh from schools. But I can't see senior players forecast even after using golden balls.!!! 21/02/2012 10:02

There is no way of knowing apart from school players. If you do a GB search then you would get a list of players back matching the parameters you get your coach sec or scout to look for but you will not be told exactly what the forecast or the exact quality of the player is.

You can take a guestimate at what a forecast might be by looking at the training results of players you are interested in.But you would need to take a calculated guess at what training the manager is doing and a bigger guess at what quality of coach they might have and if your couch would be better or worse.
On the player profile you can click on training for 10 GB and it dose give you an idea of progression and forecast.

Some managers change the player name to there forecast or progression but its a huge gamble I think because they might be just lieing to try and sell a player that is not that good.

Now dont do it because I believe there is a big penalty for this type of thing but Im trying to find out before I might buy a player with a name change. Also by me asking this question some probably think that I am thinking of doing this but Im not but my squad and transfers will reflect this also.

The fiscals would create a suitable punishment, whether you'd get compensation I couldn't say. I didn't when it happened to me, but I managed to sell the player on for the same price I bought him for(After I'd renamed him of course.).

It could be that the person he bought the player from renamed him and he's got no GB's to check FC or rename him.

Thanks I think I will forget about him for the moment cos It looks a little dodgy if someone had a great player and has not being training him for over a week or more when he has lesser players training with poor results. If he got even one training I might be able to have a guess myself LOL
