Just wondering which type of marking people play in Striker Manager. I played heavy man marking in the final 15 minutes of my past game and got scored on in the 90th minute. Heres the link for it... http://uk.strikermanager.com/partido.php?id=5418572 Zonal Marking - Marking in a designated area. This typically implies that the defender will not be very close to the man, but will be in a good area to get infront of the player with the ball to intercept a pass or block a shot. Man Marking - Marking tight on the man. This tires the player out more, but can be beneficial if the defender is fast enough. Edited by kzr 28-02-2012 19:26 Edited by kzr 28-02-2012 19:27 |

o.k! I understand what man marking means i.e d act of singling out a particular player and becoming his shadow for the entire duration of the match but can you explain what zonal marking is all about, please? | 28/02/2012 17:39 |

I heard it once in real life when scolari deployed it at chelsea then. But i never understood what it means. But i think is the way of marking just one's position, but does'nt care to cover for the beated fellow. Edited by Expositoto 28-02-2012 18:01 |

Zonal marking means a defender will have his area covered.i.e the defender must be very good(35-upwards). | 28/02/2012 18:33 |

Sorry for not being very clear what I meant by my question. I am asking about what type you play with in Striker Manager Zonal Marking - Marking in a designated area. This typically implies that the defender will not be very close to the man, but will be in a good area to get infront of the player with the ball to intercept a pass or block a shot.
