Id like to open a discussion about Rule no 6. this emanates from a closed thread few hours ago...

http://uk.strikermanager.com/foros/hilo.php?id=294792

Although i dont agree the way the poster rants his case, however it would be good to delve much deeper into this rule, on the spirit of clarity and for all the managers be guided in doing virtual business here.

........."6) Transfers with a price that is too high or too low compared to average market price may be adjusted to market price by a fiscal or administrator of the game using a financial fine."

(and to those who haven't read the rules yet, its here http://uk.strikermanager.com/wiki/index.php?title=NORMAS_DE_USO )

Questions:

1. Does the rule covers all transfers (auction, hostile, multi-offering)?
2. If yes, then how will it affect the dynamics of setting hostile protection periods and purchasing democracy in an auctions?
3. Does buying a 99 average CF for $10,000 in an auction started at zero by seller constitute a violation of rule no. 6?

Look, this maybe an elaborate logical issue which wont usually go along with blondes, but im a curious girl, so please give your insights...

1. Most often hostiles and auctions are not fineable - they are the proper market value since everyone has the opportunity to buy the player in the given time frame. Mulit-offering i have no immediate knowledge on so i will not even attempt to answer that portion.

2. As seen every season, hostiles are abundant at the time of the safe period being over, and no one gets fined. This is just another aspect of the game, which pretty much constitutes of luck and timing more than anything else.

3. theoretically, buying a 99 avg FC on auction at any price is not subjectable to fines. however it is highly, if not undoubtedly, impossible such a player would sell for such a low price.

hopefully this answers most of your questions, if i raised more, please ask.

If I have an unresigned junior GK with 75ave $3million hostile clause which was later get hostiled by John Doe, can I demand more compensation invoking Rule No. 6? Will John Doe get penalized for hostiling excessively under priced player? 07/07/2012 07:41

If you do this you will get laughs, not compensation for your mistake. True Story. hostiles are not subject to fines UNLESS there is reason to believe collaboration is part of a low release clause and hostile.

Nevermind the laugh, but rule no. 6 says "....a price that is too high or too low compared to average market price may be adjusted to market price..." well you help me arbitrate that?

may be adjusted...not will be adjusted.

We are judges in the game, and all cheat reports are taken and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Look at the average auction price over the previous 2 weeks, adjust for FC, average, and age if necessary. plus/minus about 25% should give you min/max tolerance.

When in doubt, simply ask a fiscal in chat or message one for a price check.

There was a time not so long ago where you had NO idea. There was no similar transfer button, and @ didn't tell you why you were fined. Now you can see what similar transfers are, and when they have taken place. You can click on the players to see if they are identical, or determine if they have higher FC by their training pace (Increase in avg)

I'll expand on the auction part. Frequently, multiplayers use auction to overbuy. for example, paying 2M for a worthless player. So overbuys on auctions can be fined, but they are pretty easy to spot.

There are enough experienced players surfing transactions to catch the big offenders. Seriously, when you go to "similar transactions" you can see "OMG, why on earth would you pay that much??" so you click on the player/manager then report cheat... So eventually most are caught. But we rely primarily on user reports to spot cheats. We try to go after multi-accounters more proactively.
