I think a "waste" in the sense of pure economics, then yes, lower rated, 1-3*countries, with Excellent schools can be a waste. But, I like schools because I like to dream of creating a team full of Austrians. Or Irish players. If there was a low rated Hungary school I'd build it in a heartbeat, even if the return was terrible. Part of the fun is seeing if low rated schools can produce viable players. 99% of the time no, but occasionally yes. I've had a 75% CDF from New Zealand. Not great, but not bad for how cheap it is.

From my experience though, not all equally rated schools are actually equal. My Sweden Excellent school consistently produces terrible student after terrible student - like 66% is the highest progression. Uruguay, also 3*, has produced several 75+% progression players, and I've bought an 80% progression player from Uruguay. So, there is something to that theory I think.

did u know that by giving a youth early promotion u destroy his future progression

i know it is tempting to promo youth early but in div 7,6and 5 u can easily gain promo with cheap old players 30 ish ave

leaving your youth until they reach promo age or promo average

so yeah thanx for changing the topic slightly

Have any of u out there with poor schools recived any decent grads lately?

I've actually made some decent money with my crappy progression school players by selling them on the senior market. Towards the end of last season I got a bunch of 50% progression, 35 average defenders, and tried selling them even with "65 FC" nicknames, and their $0 auction got me nothing, so I tried something and promoted one of them. Once his morale was fully up, I auctioned him off and got $1 million. Not amazing, but that covers about 1 month of my school running costs.

As far as the subject of the post goes, I may still be too new to it, but my Portugal (excellent) and Netherlands (high) schools haven't produced much more than players like the above. I've only gotten 7 players from Portugal and 3 from Netherlands, but they've all been like 55 progression players. Which are worthless except in scenarios as above.

I don't know why you'd have anything less than a 3 star school, I know I've been a touch unlucky with my schools, but I feel like even a lucky streak with a China school won't produce much of anything.

Think of cheaper schools like penny stocks. They don't trade at a high value but they don't cost much either. They require more work and don't have a huge payoff but they can be consistent revenue.

A school in China is relatively cheap for a new manager. It gives you a player every 3 or 4 days. The players are crap progression but generally are between 25-42 average. A 42 average CF with 39 progression can still go on market for 1-2m. I am selling players even from my shitty schools for an average of $500,000. This far out paces the building/maintenance costs.

player with av 32-35 or 36-40 its unreachable for newbie,so better to open school in poor rated country, like china,,so we can get a player every 2 day,,if we are lucky we can get 36-40 average junior player...and i will promote him, waiting for one week to recover his morale, after our average team will better...after sometime we can sell them on the market...

Yes, i'f been doing this for more than 4 seasons.. this low rates country some times may randomly produce around 40avg, I may sell it to get at least 1-2 millions, for my side income..

all is said, i got last week a CF 44 from my normal Peru school! sold for 9m, and i think i invested like 500k in the school....
so my advise is, take ALL the low rate school and a normal rate, and at least once a week you ll get a 38+ average player, not a big deal but it pays out the school maintenance and sometime you get to make this kind of deal
