There are 2 devs who have the expertise to make changes to the sim. One has been employed for just over a month at U-Play, an the other is not available to code for personal reasons.

In other words, I highly recommend against requesting any change to the sim because every fix results in 10 new breaks. It's simply too brittle.

Just to be clear: I am not a U-Play employee, just some guy in the U.S. who plays often enough to be given a bright orange ban hammer and polka-dot moderator's cloak.

Thanks for the info CelloG.

With just a team of two devs (or one if the other is not available) we aren't gonna see a new SIM or vast improvements to the SIM.
The current SIM is massively flawed, and just wasn't correctly designed from the first day. It seems that the SIM aimed to do too much.

But to be fair to SM, I haven't noticed other 'Manager' sites that do provide a SIM, and very few of us who have been here for a while are leaving.

I wouldn't mind seeing the website itself get a facelift and a remodelling of the design of the site. It's been 18months (a long time in cyberspace ) and it's kinda been the same layout/view.

There is a significantly larger dev team for the site itself and stuff like the look. This is the team that designed the new achievements thingy.

Also, there is only 1 dev for the mobile site but he is AMAZING and this is why Striker Manager is the only site with a fabulous mobile interface. I happen to think it is far better than the full site for everything except creating tactics/formation and watching games.

There are other sites that have simulation, one requires java and I've never gotten it to work on my phone or on my Mac, or in my windows VMware image, so there's that.

SM is the only site that doesn't force you to buy features just to do basic play. For instance, some other sites make you pay just to rename the team!

As much as I find myself wanting to wring the devs' necks when they make a horrible change to the sim or leave bugs unfixed for a year, or simply don't respond to pleas for a long time, Striker Manager is still at its core a well-designed intellectually challenging game with a great sense of using the best of social networking memes.

That may be the longest sentence I have ever written. Weep and marvel at its bloatundity.

I'm laughing and marvelling at 'bloatundity'

It's true, I've tried other manager games sites as well and none of them really hold a candle to this one. On the surface it's very simple, but in reality is very complex, as all good games should be.
