Hey i've a question which is probably stupid but what is the interest of the private league? It's like a friendly match except that there is injury no ? 19/08/2012 17:30

Well if you want to look at it that way. For me, it's like a normal league game except that you get to choose where to be 19/08/2012 18:48

Yes but my point is that there is no promotion relegation etc ... and no risk of being fired or at the opposite no extra money to win if you are in a good position at the end.

But i'm glad to be in my league of course and i find this system good, it was just a personal reflexion ^^

Good performance can win money (if they agree to). Some PL can have their own way of relegation 19/08/2012 19:59

i see your point here

and no there is no point in PL

imo the game should have used saturday and sunday games to play 2 extra league games - we would get through seasons much quicker that way

i find it depressing looking at my 90+ youth fc charts - where they wont hit their peaks till sometime in 2013

extra money first and foremost. You are talking as many as 13 more home games in a season. That's a lot of cash, including win bonuses and billboards, etc.

Player experience. Assuming .1 exp per game. at 26 games, you are getting 2.6 experience for your player. Probably more than 3...(stamina is an issue, admittedly, but it is more)

If you have an active league, notoriety. I think I'm fairly well known in the game...I could be wrong. Most of the active PL players are fairly well known, active on forums, etc.

Desire to play/stay in game. Without I-55, I may have lost interest in the game, but I can say I have made some real friends in here because of the private league. This does not apply to all, but if you have a group of guys/girls you can chat with about different aspects of the game, and maybe even conspire with (with tactical knowledge, or "hey, you might want to hostile this guy" or "hey, can you train this guy for me?"), then bonus. Before Div 4/3, your PL may be the only source of competition you have. It can help you learn the game inside and out. A competitive PL can put 10-15 points on your team PER SEASON in terms of training, strategy, and player acquisition.

Get in an active PL...and good luck.

Private leagues are the most fun aspect of the game. You have to realize that the desire to win only holds a human being's interest for so long, then you need something social to keep your interest. PLs do this better than anything else in SM. 20/08/2012 03:29

Who are you again? lol.

@reb pretty much summed it up.

At first I saw it as just extra income. Now I understand, If you get with a good group of guys, the PL is more than that. It becomes a place to learn the ins and outs of the game alot faster, Promotes good ideas and helps you strengthen your team for regular league matches by giving you feedback about your team. Again, its only if you get with a good group of guys. Other than that, its just extra income.
