Even someone plays with offside trap how there can be 25-30 offsides for his opponent?even more than 40 in some cases.
today itself in a friendly I have received 20+ offsides and I placed my forward line very down to avoid offsides.
but still it is not working.
please some one suggest me how to get rid of the offside traps. my team average is among the top 3 in my league yet i am losing to weaker opponent only by conceding too many offsides.

plese some one suggest me how to beat off side trap.

create a formation where your players are always behind the ball.

Thanks a lot. i usually keep my striker on the ball . not behind neither above. does it lead to offside?

you will have to experiment. except when he's in your half, put him behind the ball in all positions at first. then try edging him forward once you are getting less offsides.

the coloured tactic lines have an effect too.

Yes i use the tactics bar too. when i was receiving lots of offsides i droped my forward line to very down of the pitch. but still I am receiving lots of offsides. will try with my players behind the ball. thanks for your suggestion mate... 21/08/2012 21:32

Heres what i did in a nut shell. Strategically place everyone at midfield, no matter where the ball is on the pitch.

Also, Problem with offside trap is the center pitch, because all players have to maintain there original position on the field. This means more likely than not, most people playing offside trap forget to arrange defense after the ball is moved from center and just play them far upwhich results in leaving the middle open for an om or striker to run half field and score.

Thanks a lot for your inputs. I have changed my advance formation. hope it will work better for me from today onwards.
Thank you all once again.

I am in a generous mood, send ur formation to me and I'll tweak it for u right.

That would be great. Because even after changing my advance formation, i got 19 offsides.

Although they have played better today. But the midfielders are passing the ball to some who is on offside.

In most of the cases I found the midfielder got open and he himself could run with the ball towards goal. but unfortunately he is choosing to pass to a offside positioned player.
