How does this ranking work..Yesterday I was in 1795 place and now even though I won I'm 2-3 places down..How exactly does this work I know its through winning but how many points do you get for winning a match. 03/09/2012 21:37

i too want to hear this

another game i played used a well known statistical formula (i forgot name)

whereby dependant on opponent u gained or lost x points

this would fit with what u experienced - maybe the teams around your rank all beat better teams than u did thus although your points go up u still slip back in rankings

I doubt it but maybe it's possible..Anyway I beat a team that has better ranking than me and in the forum somewhere I read from an @ that said if you beat a team better than you, you will get a higher place than beating a team with lower ranking than yours.. Hope an @ comes here and cleares this up for us 04/09/2012 00:01

i am ranked 7 . just wanted to say that

if ranked 6 won a strong game , his team rank point will increase
if ranked 6 loose vs an easy opponent , and i win vs an highly ranked opponent , i will get more points
.

+1

Your points must have increased but some teams below you increased more than you did hence, the slip in ranking.

team ranking is based on number of supporters.

this is some formula that no one knows (I'm not even sure the devs do...)

Win against better teams (more supporters) with more goals = more supporters join.
Win against worse teams (fewer supporters/lower rank) = less supporters join after match.

Advance to final rounds of cup = mucho supporters.

So (the numbers have no basis in reality)

125. Opponent 1
126. Me (10 supporters behind)
127. Opponent 2 (40 supporters behind)
128. Opponent 3 (100 supporters behind)

Opponent 1 beats a lesser ranked team by a lot
Me, I beat a similar opponent by 1 goal
Opponent 2 beats a better player by 2 goals
Opponent 3 advances to cup semifinal on penalties by beating lesser opponent.

AFTER

125. Opponent 3
126. Opponent 2 (200 supporters behind)
127. Me (225 supporters behind)
128. Opponent 1 (228 supporters behind)

Don't do that math, it doesn't work out...this is just a simple example of how you can win, but still decrease in standings. or even beat a worse team but leapfrog others.

Also important is your overall win/loss ratio. If you've been winning a lot, the number of supporters/game goes up. I also think your squad strength affects the rate at which your supporters increase. All of this is speculation, but seems to hold up in my careful observation. 05/09/2012 04:05
