Hi all, I used to think I was a pretty good manager - worked out a winning combination of tactics, advanced formation etc, and I got promoted to the 4th division where last season I finished in the top half of the league, often beating teams with higher average. I don't know what's happened now, but I'm losing against teams with lower average than mine now, I just took my biggest ever defeat (6-0) and I'm in danger of relegation! If anyone has time to take a look at any of my games and see what's going wrong, and give me a few tips, I'd really appreciate it! If you don't want to share your secrets with everyone in the forum, feel free to message me privately. Thanks so much! |

I think you need to buy some bigger players. | 14/09/2012 00:43 |

I watched a little of your last game, and one thing that stuck out to me was that your defenders never really attack the ball. They just kind of stay in a straight line and run towards the end line along with the ball carrier. | 14/09/2012 04:08 |

Cut down that senior squad. I think you need to clean house get some money together and buy two really good attackers or one attacker and one dfm. And the higher you advance, you NEED DFMs. Cant stress that enough. Edited by cmccourt 14-09-2012 05:00 |

Edited by cmccourt 14-09-2012 05:00 +1 Cut your squad down to 18 selling of your surplus positions or those who are no longer improving. Buy two high progression attackers and start doing forwards training. IF you have extra money, buy a junior DFM (high progression) and train him in your junior team (along with other dfm's and other midfielders/defenders) Going off what Sabrefan said use a bit more man-marking.
