Best scorer
ok, there's no quick way of explaining this

they are not the same value, but they are related & you can definitely have a good guess at progression/fc by studying the daily avg increase of a player.

FC / forecast = the maximum Avg a player will reach. this can change through a player's career depending on training.
Prog / Progression = the rate a player will improve. this is set & never changes. it can only be seen precisely in school players before they are promoted. you can also do GB searches for players of XX progression and above.

to roughly judge a players fc/prog based on their daily training you will need to study. look at players in the positions you are interested in (same age & avg) being trained by top managers. after a while you will know which training is being applied on which day. then you have a reference to judge players being trained by lower % coaches.

i train strikers, so let's take cfs as an example. only 90+fc cfs will train over .45 in shooting regardless of coach %.

in general, you need players of 80-90 prog to give you a 90+fc. (gk are different)

the fc can change. for instance, i have had an 82fc player i signed as a junior, who is now 90fc. his forecast increased as i trained him. i've also signed 85+ prog players from a GB search whose fc turned out to be 80 as they had been badly trained.

i hope that makes sense. if you can get your head around it, you are well on your way. it took me months
