Do you like the idea of betting Gbs on games?

Hey guys, I just heard an interesting idea on general chat from dktoprani. He mentioned how it would be nice to have the option of betting GBs on friendlies. Now I don't like that idea for the fact that people could just throw games and it would just become a way to give away GBs without buying them. But if they were used on games that were worth more like say league game or SC games then it could be a fun way to hype up and make games more interesting. Well I didn't elaborate much on it. My idea was to bet your "owned" GBs in friendlies. Say I have 50 GBs so I could play a friendly with someone else for 20 GBs. If I win, I get my opponent's 20 GBs else he gets mine. Had the idea from quite sometime but knew it could be abused, but now that gifting GBs is allowed there is not much to misuse in it. |

This would be like Calcio. Teams losing on purpose to get gbs! "Oh but you wouldn't be able to bet on your own games" But a friend would be. |

I think it'd work well on the last 3-4 rounds of the cup. I doubt anyone would want to throw their game that late in the cup. Plus if you make the max bet something like 100 GB's it's enough to make it fun to bet on games, but low enough that you're not going to get anybody getting someone to take a dive. | 04/10/2012 00:32 |

I think it will take the focus away from the football and turn this game into a fantasy betting game with football simulation. Gambling, is best kept away from this. Another point is that we have many 12-15 yr old playing this game, why would we want to introduce them to gambling basics of odds and pay offs.. Bad idea. |
