cmccourt said: Umm.. Yea, in american presidential elections, are votes are only suggestions not concrete. We have an electoral college which mean all members of CONGRESS cast a vote. They dont have to take the Popular suggestion therefore, it doesnt matter who we vote for. its a matter of who greases the most pockets while supporting the jewish state in the middle east. You guys are all wrong except for cmccourt. You guys need to learn about our government the rest of you. C'mon, we learn about yours, learn about ours. |

Quick comment: it is great that you like Romney or Obama, but it does not make you look smart (in fact, it makes you look incredibly ignorant) when you say "If you are voting for candidate X you must be so stupid and should not vote!" One of the greatest American principles is this strong belief in the freedom of expression, so feel free to make your opinion be heard, but also be tolerant and let those who disagree with you express their opinions without judgement as well. | 27/10/2012 01:21 |

@FC Ubuntu said: Seems like Obama is running away with this one. Ubuntu from what I've seen this is a very close election. It's gonna come down to Ohio and Florida along with a few other swing states. Obama holds the lead only because he is the incumbent. |

I will be brave and go as far as stating my election vote ( even though I know that congress votes a week later and may not consider my vote) I vote for the brotha. Bush got his 2 terms so why not Obama. I am willing to roll the dice to see what another term will produce. I am middle class, I have benefited therefore, I vote in favor of who is going to benefit me the most just like everyone else. If you are actually able to vote and are of age, You should do the same. Vote for Romney if he benefits you. Vote for Obama if he benefits you. The only reason not to vote is if you are being forced to vote due to peer pressure or abuse. Then again, make up your mind because in order for the system to work, EVERYONE has to participate ( or so says the media ) oh and : "If you are voting for candidate X you must be so stupid and should not vote!" My parents are both voting Obama because he will benefit us. My friend's parents are voting Romney because they are upper class. I don't disagree with them. It's just what best suits them. cmccourt said: Kirum said: Actually, Congress only elects the president if no one wins the electoral college and even then each state must vote as a unit. The electors that vote in the electoral college are chosen by whichever party won the most presidential votes within the state (although this varies slightly depending on the state). Americans vote for the electors and the electors vote for president. Really, so then explain how an elector in flordia substained from voting and another straight up voted republican when the state swung democratic? Your right in part, but in actuality, you got deep pockets, you got faith in the jewish state, you become president. Been this way eversince jimmy carter left the big white house. The electors are not responsible to anyone. They are by the party that wins the state and are supposed to vote for that party's candidates, but they don't have to. I'm not saying there are not problems with how the candidates are chosen, but Congress has only chosen the president (offhand I'd say) twice.
