Dude, the automatic lineup is ridiculous. I'm not talking about the automatic lineup button that you can click on - I'm talking about how it reshuffles your entire squad when a player gets taken back down to the youth squad or you sell one of your starters. One my youth players went back down to the youth squad after a temporary promotion RIGHT before one of my games (I know, my fault, right?). Well, now as I watch my game because I couldn't change the lineup beforehand, the computer put my RDF up as a RF, my LIM as a LF, my IM as the OM, my OM as a DFM, my LF as the RDF, and my RIM as an IM. It's a disaster. Shit man, it's ridiculous that losing one starter (by sale or by demotion) would have such a huge effect on the lineup. Also, a related thing - why don't the juniors come back down to the youth squad after a temporary promotion in the middle of night, when trainings happen? It's just silly that we have to perfectly time our promotions so that we can use them for certain games. It's actually totally stupid, if you ask me. Nothing like the real world. I'm pretty sure a team would let their youth stay to suit up in a match rather than send him back after exactly 48 hours because that's the rule. |

While I agree with your point about how bad the system screws up the lineup, I have to disagree with the rest of your argument. This isn't the real world ...it is exactly 72 hours for temp promotions. Always has been and always will be. Your game times don't change so figuring out temp promotions isn't that hard. My games are at 14:28 so I just wait until at least 15:28 to do temp promotions. |

I know, I know - ultimately it is definitely my fault. I knew the promotions lasted 72 hours and I knew when the game was. I just didn't remember to address it.....that's all. I was fairly frustrated when I first found out. I've since given up worrying about it. There will be more games, and I'm sure I'll do something stupid like this again, so no point in getting all worked up about it every time I screw up, right? Anyway, I guess I just don't understand how the system decides where to put players. I feel like I could write some pretty simple code that would determine the best position for each player to play given the players and formation that a team has. That's all. |

I'd agree with Malibudragon, It'd solve a lot of the problems people have with temp promotions (and the problems haven't always been user error). There really isn't any difference between having temp promotes end at exactly 72 hours, compared to going back to a junior team at training time. Plus it prevents any new user who does a temp promote and doesn't really understand them and how to find the time they come back from having issues. |

Nothing is as annoying as a screwed line-up during a game. |
