hi, pretty new to striker manager and im just wondering how you get allocated a team. when i joined all my players were 1 nationality, i had no real money to speak of and all my players were also shit (only 2 players above 30%). and also as far as i can tell also when a job comes up in a higher division you keep the same players you have but you just move up a division, am i correct? also if im correct whats the point of it, if your team cannot get promoted then they are not ready for that division? if this is the case im curious as to how this happens http://en3.strikermanager.com/inicio.php?accion=/equipo.php%3Fid%3D82692 this guy only joined a month and a half ago but has a team (probably) better than mine from different nationalities and according to his renaming of the players some of them have amazing potential (93 progression, 88 etc) am i wrong about the job offers, do you take over a team instead of taking the players with you? im not that bothered about it was just curious but hopefully someone can answer thanks all EDIT - just noticed i can look at the clubs transfers and the team has existed for a while, i dont remember getting that option when signing up, it just gave me a new team, clearly i made a mistake then, would have been better getting an existing team, lol Edited by stub20000 23-11-2012 13:48 |

The manager joined in november 2011...last year... His team could have actually been better than this but I guess he is not that active. EDIT: No one takes over any team and keeps the players in it. You get new players with same nationalities EDIT: Just realised...you posted the link to your own team... Edited by @patient 23-11-2012 14:06 |

That guy's been playing for more than a year. He should be much further along by now than he is. By this time next year, -- if you're still playing, -- I'm sure you'll be much further along too. Everyone gets new players when they sign up. Some (most?) managers are given already extant clubs. The system does this so that human managers are managing as many clubs as possible. This reduces the number of non-human robot clubs. For new managers, the effect is only cosmetic. Every new manager still gets a newly-generated team, averaging about 35, whether they're managing an already extant club or a newly created one. Clubs are offered early promotion to replace robot clubs in higher divisions. The object is to keep the higher divisions as competitive as possible. The entire club is early promoted, and no players or assets are changed. Division, group, board position, and season record are the only changes. The early promoted manager accepts the DIV, group, and record of the bot club s/he replaces, and (I'm guessing) the replaced bot team gets the early promoted manager's former DIV, group, and record. Deciding whether to accept an early promotion should be based on a cost-benefit analysis balancing projected increased revenue, projected increased expenses, likelihood of relegation, and likelihood of a repeat early promotion if relegated. At this point in the season, -- past the halfway mark, -- it is almost never a good idea to early promote. EDIT: Just saw the new link. I think that guy may be a veteran manager who's starting over. But if so, the join date shouldn't be so recent. Patient or another @ may be able to explain. I didn't look at many of his players, but the few I looked at were bought cheaply. Not sure if that's because he caught good deals, or if other managers he knew from already having played the game helped him out as a favor. Edited by Anonymous01 23-11-2012 14:24 |

Or did you mean hades? http://en3.strikermanager.com/equipo.php?id=84624 It is possible to become rich if you use a lot of Golden balls (can take extra loans from bank, can search great players etc)...hades has a lot of experience in this game as this isn't his first account. If you want to compare yourself to someone to see if you are behind and need to catch up ...do not compare yourself with him stub20000 said: i posted a link to his, just realised that the link doesnt change though when i click into his team its this guy, got his team next in my private league http://en3.strikermanager.com/equipo.php?id=709 cheers Ah Bonecrusher...he hangs around general chat a bit and probably learnt a bit there. The fact that your team is similar shows me that you can do as welll if not better Edited by @patient 23-11-2012 14:25 |

Unless you have gbs to do searchs, then the best two high staff members to have are coach and junior coach. Keep an eye on the junior market in particular and get a good set of high progression juniors(if you sort the market by name, its easier to see them). Dont worry about average too much. You really want 80 plus progression, but dont chase auctions, theres always more coming and i quite often see up to 90 prog players going for 100k or so. Wait until the load market opens to get your senior coach, then offer to take other peoples players on loan and train them for them. |
