Just wondering how people have done with their investment in schools?
Anyone have a 5 or 4 star schools that are excellent?
Are they worth the capital and weekly investment, i.e. do they produce enough quality youths to return your money?

i have all the 5 stars, plus england, france and portugal.

i would say you break even at least, but it takes a while. i've been lucky & had 3 90+ fc cfs this season.

also, apart from premium positions anything i sell less than 85 prog ends up going for free, so maybe the market is knackered after the free gb period.

I have the 5* Excellent Schools and a few 4* Excellent schools.

It's a long-term investment, to be sure. Unless of course your first student is like an 85+ prog age 14 CF or CDF or something, but that is more gambling than actual good financial planning.

I've had a fair number of good students so I've made my money back and then some. Recently though, I've had a combination of few 85+ prog jrs and the market is flat, so I'm probably breaking even at this point. My schools are full of <= 75% prog jrs.

The initial capital outlay is a lot, but all it takes is one great student to make a profit from a school. I think Brazil is 100 mill, Holland is 32? mill, Portugal & Croatia like 12 mill, not to mention Germany, Argentina, England, Spain, etc, so you can spend a ton of money. This season though I've sold a 89? or so prog age 14 RDF and an 86 or 87 prog CF - between the two of them I made back my money and then some.

Not to mention that I've received a few students that I've trained & kept - a couple of forwards & OMs & mids.

I have four 5-star schools, two 4-star and a 3.5-star. I have not been lucky with good players and know that I have been running a loss. However, I like the suspense/expectation in clicking "View School" hoping for the 99 prog player to show up

My only 5 star school is netherland and I got this nice player from it http://en3.strikermanager.com/jugador.php?id_jugador=10051408
Already covers the cost lol. I also got an 88forecast OM from the school earlier which was nice...

I also have portugal as my other good school and I got two decent players after 1 year

The cost here is also covered.

I also just recently built Spain as I am expecting it to be made 100% soon. I need to make it excellent though.
I don't think I will build any of the other 5 star schools until I become VERY rich...

Cheers guys for the info. I might be able to afford the capital investment of upgrading the schools, but the weekly fee would be a challenge.
I'll prob upgrade one or two of the schools and see how it goes.
