While i agree that the kitchen sucks i have to say that the store does not, i get a good income and it takes a while to produce grand amounts. the kitchen... well you produce very little stuff, you have to be home all day to have a good amount of stuff and when it sells you get nothing, maybe increase prices, sales amount and time, this will get people to use it more, oh yeah and when it takes 20 min to have something made, who in there right mind would pay 75 golden balls to not wait the 20 minutes? It is an attempt for people buying golden balls, i understand they want to make money, but this one fails. |

+1 but this system has money in it for the developers so expect no change. Mozleron said: The concept of handling the food at our matches is not without precedent. However, i get the distinct impression that whoever designed this system has never had any sort of administrative experience, or does not play any sort of business simulation type games. Furthermore, it seems to me that whoever designed the "Catering" system was not talking to the person that designed the Factory/Store system, who was also not the same person who designed the Stadium management system. Now, why would i bring up the Stadium management system in this context? Because I believe this new food system is far too micro management intensive and could greatly benefit from having something more akin to the stadium seat/price management system implemented. Why can we not just pick a value for how many of each item we'd like produced, and leave it to our invisible minions to make sure those items make it into the appropriate invisible vendor stalls? It's bad enough that we have to set up the factory to run every day. The last time i went to one of my local stadiums, they did not have one huge kitchen where they processed everything in series, rather they have individual kitchens behind each vendor that prepares the specific types of items for each vendor in parallel, and with as much as a few hours lead time to get the initial batches ready. Everything else is produced at game time. While i'm on the topic of parallel vs serial production: Do you guys even have a concept of how much time and cost is involved in retooling a factory to produce completely separate items? This idea of queuing up totally disparate items into one series channel every single day makes absolutely no sense. My main issue with this new system is the incredible amount of micro management required, relative to all of the other systems, in order to make it effective. This is not some lame Facebook/Zynga game. I would implore the dev team to NOT EVER try to move in that direction. Zynga is a fat bloated cow that is in the process of going down like the Hindenburg. There is no need to follow in their footsteps. |

Gunzz said: I am also against these "Store" and "Kitchen" Update, but let us understand why they have implemented this.. According to me, there are 2 basic reason for these kind of updations: 1. Due to this, you (Manager) is forced to check and re login in every 3-4 hours. I think "No of hits" in a day is the reason behind this and they are generating real Monetary profits from here. 2. Most of these updates have Locked things. Means one have to buy Golden Balls to unlock this. This also helps in generating revenue for the developers. Although, even i dont really check these 2 items regularly, but clicking on one item to prepare is the first thing i still do when i login first time in the morning. If u dont want these updates, just ignore them. There is no harm in ignoring it unless u also want 100K profit every day!!! absolutely right. There is money in it for devs.We would be wrong if we ask devs to remove it only"cause we dont like it".cause i dont like it i dont touch it and leave it be.But i wont ask it to be removed unless it doesnt harm me. Removal> -100000 Food Spoilage is the major problem...have been working on my kitchen....trying to fix things....but still i dont get it.......probably...we can have the food spoilage removed....we need to be making money from it.not to be wasting our resources...or are we also curbing inflation here.....i mean left overs go bad eventually..and wasted.... We can simply have refrigerators and microwave ovens in place to store the left over...highly protected from germs.....to make the kitchen more reasonable...so that we have the food stuffs in stock, some will be bought on match day....and the remnants are properly taken care of............ |

I wouldn't mind the catering feature to be removed, but I'm not blatantly for it to be removed. The general attitude everyone seems to have to the catering feature is that it's not worth it. The amount of effort and clicks far outweighs the benefits of it. You can spend a lot of time just stocking up your restaurant, but once the home game comes, you only reap a little amount of money. I understand some people find it useless, but if you don't like it, just don't use it. As others have said, I feel as if the developer of this feature never realized that the amount of effort needed is not worth measly profit. I have used it sparingly in its preupdate and again after its update, but it's not worth it still for me. I can't make a conclusion as I have not upgraded it yet (not sure if I want to) to see if it's worth it, but I feel that's what the majority is complaining about. The store on the other hand is very helpful, even to the point where I and many others [especially those in the lower divisions] consider it to be a main source of income. I receive about 500k in income each day while about 1.2m for each home game. It may not be that much if you're in a higher division but for those in division 5, 6, and 7 earning 500k a day is a godsend for those managers. |

I am always happy to see @ranru send us updates for the new season, because I know that SM would be better with every single update. This season's update made me throw up. C-A-T-E-R-I-N-G ? However, I do not expect complaints. Newbies can't catch up with managers who have been here since SM's inception, so these are means to accelerate their growth. Imagine a Div. 6 earning $500,000 or $1m daily. That's so cool ! Simply ignore it if it pisses you off, for ONE MAN'S MEAT IS ANOTHER MAN'S POISON. |
