Signed a new striker last season and he had a good start. Though someone just bought him from me with a hostile release clause, I did not want this to happen so how do I stop it? Does not really seem fair, how do I lock a player to my team? Thanks. | 03/01/2013 11:29 |

You can only stop other managers buying you're junior players by re-signing them for the season but the only thing you can do for you're senior players is pay them a higher salary and then there release clause will increase. | 03/01/2013 11:36 |

It is too late to avoid losing your striker. As CUDJOE said, next time be careful with the release clause of your players and increase their salary when it's too low. | 03/01/2013 12:00 |

Apply huge money to their salaries so that their hostile clause would be huge/high. | 03/01/2013 12:27 |

A good way to determine the hostile clause value is to search for similiar age and average players. Then set your clause above that. Probably more if the players have high progression. Also, when you promote jrs, set their clauses a bit higher. Then when their average increases you will be prepared. |
