i agree,we dont need delete option as we have option to edit it to empty but when someone quotes our orignal comment then our orignal comment is viewable even if we clear it by editing.

Then, the other person hits the delete button.

Very simple.

i was referring to @patient here.
But to clear my view further to you let me give you.an example.

Suppose i used inappropriate language or i abused a manager on forum or break forum rules anyother way.Now such actions require some punishments. So the other manager complains to @ but i on my part delete the comment. So its avidence removed.and i will say i never posted anything in the forum. But since we cant delete but only edit the @s can know i had commented atleast something and investigate.

I know this is not the best example on context but you get my point.

horrible example, lmao.
For one. You shouldn't be cussing at all on chat,pm,forum etc.
Second of all.. There are people who will take screen shots even if deleted. I know people who take screen shots for evidence, good or bad.

Most people tend to "like" a comment by doing that silly "+1" post which I guess you can consider as that.

As for deleting posts, I am not sure why they don't allow you to delete posts. You can always edit them by leaving it blank so that you can take them away. What would the reason be for wanting to delete something?

A comment that you said in the past that you don't want seen anymore... A post that makes you seem non-intellectual, etc.

That may be classified as a PeterP problem. Of course, PeterP problems are special problems that require unique solutions.

Liking and deleting will give some managers authority. Is the only @'s who can perform this but on thier hand, they move or close the the post.So it can't be possible. 15/01/2013 09:00

Just to clear one thing up, @'s only have the ability to delete an entire thread, not specific posts. We can edit any and all posts.

The main way to avoid needing to delete a post is thinking before you post and reading what you've typed before you click the "send" button.

How in the world does liking a thread give a manager authority? That doesn't make sense.

Thank you, +ArmoKidd+, thank you ! This is an example of @sabre's theory: THINK BEFORE POSTING.
