formation and tactics are never perfect, they differ depending on your own team and opponent. My tactics and formation would not work for your team because my players act differently | 16/01/2013 13:15 |

Bow is correct. It all depends on your players, formation choice, opponent strength and style of play you like. The perfect formation for one person might be totally wrong for another. It takes time to develop what you want. |

As has already been said, there is no perfect formation - you will need to modify it to your team and to exploit your opponent's weaknesses. I watched the first few minutes of the game you are talking about, and it seems you used a basic formation. You can take or leave my diagnosis, but it looks like you have a RDF and a LDF as your two central defence positions, which is okay on advanced formation, but on a basic formation there is enough room to land a 747 in the gap between a RDF and LDF. I also noticed that at least one of your two central defenders stayed on the touch line, rather than a) going to tackle the opposing attacker, or b) sticking with an offside trap. The opponent's attackers had a free run to your goal, every time, always onside, never fully challenged. A few minutes creating an advanced formation or two will make a big difference, as your team certainly has a high enough average to do well in Div. 4. Good luck! Edited by sicox86 17-01-2013 09:35 |

In that case then I guess all you can do is watch a few games and experiment in some friendlies and PL matches with new advanced formations. | 17/01/2013 12:20 |

Just to make sure. We mean advanced formation, not advanced tactics. The two things are different. There's a tutorial in the faq forum that can help. |
