advance tactics is used for changing formation, efforts at different times of a game, and its also used for making substitutions... advance formation is used for making your own formation other than the basic 1's.... you can create an entire formation using advance formation... for example when you need to avoid offside trap, you create a formation where attackers are not too far ahead the ball..
