You dont know what the three lines that are so crucial to making a decent formation do. But you think things should be changed. Great going. Maybe make your suggestions when you do.

IMHO...they are for tightning the team...or making the sectors wide, according of what you like your team to play...wider or tighten...but...that's an opinion from a confessed newbie.

But...none the less...my suggestion was to...USE THAT THOUGHT...and apply it to sector determination for players, I.E.:

Green line = Defensive players only,
Yellow line = Midfielders only,
Red Line = Attackers only.

Well...if suggestions are to be so well received like this...then I'll shut up the hell up if that's what you all want.

Have a good championship you all. Thank you anyway for your replies.

Hebitsukai over and out.

I think its why its a bit frustrating to read. You can already do everything you are suggesting, apart from tbe original suggestion, which was to remove the offside trap entirely, but if you dont know how tactics work already, maybe your starting point should have been the doubts and questions forum.

Well...I shouldn't be replying anymore...

But since you pointed out my stupidity...let me just say...

For the first comment...those lines DONT DO THAT AT ALL...I know that...because...I put my players wherever I want in the field. If the lines prohibited for instance a defense player to pass beyond the top green line...you wouldn't see no defense player over that line and even over the midfield line.

So...the second comment...maybe I should start pointing out the Bug Report forum...because...if those lines where meant to stop defense players to go over that green line...that shouldn't happen at all...and it does. I know that...because...I use it...and I see a lot of other managers doing it so.

Thank you and I'm sorry to cause you frustration.
I wont be commenting again.
As I said before...I let the developers develop this free game (nothing can beat free...so I don't complain at all)...when I get tired of playing and/or feel I'm getting robbed from my chance to win...I'll leave...as simple as that.

The lines don't prohibit movement.

They are just a way of pushing your players further up the park, or further back. The players will move to how you've set your formation pretty much.
For example, if I set my yellow (mid) between halfway and penalty box (in the attacking half), my mids will be further forward on the field than where I have positioned them, they will move forward from their positions earlier and take longer to get back where they started.

This works the same for all areas. Forwards will try to stay onside for the most part, but if you push your red line to the goal line they will want to move past the defense all the time so that's not going to help your offside trap.

I'm closing this thread now. Hebitsukai if you have any more questions/issues/whatever please message me. Thanks.
