this has been an unrealistic feature here for ever it should be removed itrw players dont sign a new contract lower than their last - except when club in admin like portmouth what do u think? |

depends on many circumstances, some players who are on the twilight of their career, might take a wage cut to make sure they keep on playing, perhaps for a lower division. If they dont take a wage cut and no one will hire them on high wages, the missus will be too angry when no there is no shopping allowance and no one wants that. |

I think it's fine as it is, maybe it's there just in case you pay a player to much, I play IBM to and players do not like a wage cut on there, you'd be lucky to knock a few hundred pounds/dollars off his wage's because most of the time he wants a pay raise more than anything and even then they demand higher amounts, so I think were quite lucky to be able to lower wages here on SM. | 06/03/2013 15:19 |

It is a little unrealistic when you raise a junior to 100K just so you can sell him for X amount and the new owner takes him down to 1,000, but other than that I don't think we run into a lot of scenarios where a player takes a wage cut. | 06/03/2013 15:46 |

but remember some players do take a paycut in real life after injuries or when they fail to meet expectations.. probably not alot but i have seen some cases that players take a paycut so the team can sign better players etc.. | 06/03/2013 18:39 |

this game cant be compared to RL lol. 14 year old arnt sold for 2+ bill, players dont make over 1 mil per week, im not a manager in a real life team. Plus, in RL when players get older they DO take wage hits Edited by StarWars9870 06-03-2013 21:46 |
