i play a 2 player attacking formation, but i dont have good enough players in the positions i am supposed to play, so i use a lw as a CF and a RW as a OM (untill now i have used them inn their correct positions Lw and RW, but they run all wrong and dont play correct according to the formation i want to use) so i want to change their positions to Lw playing inn the Cf position and RW as a Om my question is how good wil they play when they play out of position?

LW is 69 avg and 79 versitality
RW is 67 avg and 57 versitality

not what im wondering, i know how good their avrage is pre game inn the new position, but im wondering how they will perform?

example to why i want my lw to play in the cf position, when i play him in the Lw position, everytime my rw has the ball he runs out to the left even though i on advanced have made him go straight forward even if the rw has the ball on 26 meters.

and i want to play my RW as a OM becouse i think he will pass the ball more often then, now he just runs with the ball all the way from midlefield without passing.

this tactic works against badly organised teams, but in 3th div it wont work. therfor im wondering how they will perform if i change their starting position from LW to CF and RW to Om, i know how much they dropp in avrage playing out of position, but how will they perform in the diffrent role??

well, the lw will play as if he has 54 average
the rw will play as if he had 38 average.

acctualy the lw wil have a 62 average, and the rw in the Om position will have a 42 average. but thats not what im wondering.

Im wondering how they will play inn those position, will abything change in the way they play, will the Lw in the CF position play any different? and will the RW in the OM position, look to do more passing instead of always running with the ball???

PS.
Thanks for replies, but i dont think you understood what im asking, im not asking what theire avrage will be, but how they will play in the other position, will they do anything different, is there any positive things to changing their positions

Best scorer
Honestly I think the best options are to either figure out how to use the wings in their natural position (if you bought an OM they might be able to feed the ball to him so he can score) or to sell them and buy an OM and a CF. You could probably get a 60-65 average of each with the sale of your wings, and long term that's going to get you a better overall average than the two wings.

They'd probably play how you want, but the only real way to know is to test them in friendlies/PL games.

You can use the LW as a LW and a RW as a RW, and buy a OM or CF to master the middle. Also, from what I've heard, attacking with 2 OMs and maybe a CF is very hard to defend with a IM in the center of the field. 13/03/2013 14:39

ok u r trying to start an in depth discussion into the inner workings behind the advanced tactics, i am interested

u say u play 2 up - but admit they aren't good enough - why not try using your decent rw as the only attacker ( i do this as cant afford 2 hot strikers) wingers can have high shooting + use the skills to boost = effective striker

also i notice your team is based around wide players - u have no one to make a tackle high up pitch
i assume u use high ' on the wings' ?

wide players have poor stats compared with central players - eg wingers suck at passing
im's have no ball steal or shooting
wide mids have improved lately but imo not as well rounded as rim / lim

also u were going into how players play when moved into another type of players area (always keeping players as green numbers)
so u might play rw as om - well wingers suck at passing

my tactickle ramblings:
wide players wont shoot well from central position or worst if on their wrong side
its hard to get players to make the right pass - so many off side passes, so to limit this 1 up is better than 2
def prefere passing to mids - mids to wings/ att and wings and att rarely make pass near box and prefer to shoot

get your wingers to the box from thier wide position, cf's keep them central
