Going into a game with 100% stamina or planning to maintain decent stamina throughout play obviously counts for nothing in this game. I've just been beaten by a team who by the 50th minute had no stamina left in any of his players at all whilst I had probably 40%+..

It's a ridiculous situation...If you decide to play 100% effort from the first minute then you should expect your players to not win tackles..not make passes...and not score when shooting after 70 minutes at least...thats your choice...but...I've seen all of that happen in the game I've just lost!

Effort can help you win, but only in some situations (if you're playing 50% more effort than the opponent you'll probably win if you're evenly matched) but it's not going to be an auto win button, because then everyone would just use 100% all the time. Set advanced tactics for your effort to increase in short spurts of 15-30 minutes to try and catch the opponent off guard.

We were evenly matched...and the opposing team obviously played 100% effort from the start... I have no problem with that because that was his set up. But he must have realised his players would be knackered by half time which they were. My gripe is that I saw no disadvantage to him in the second half of the game that he won. He conceded 2 goals...but he was still making good passes and still tackling my forwards..with nil stamina how can that happen? If fair then he should have won 3-0 first half but lost 4-3 full time.
