 Before you say to your self you have heard this one before give this a quick read.

Now i don't mean an actual set piece creator , more of an advanced formation for set pieces. with different options in a drop down box for:

Attacking free kicks
Defending free kicks


Probably not needed.
(Corners, Throw ins & Goal kicks)

as you all know when a freekick happens your players will not be where you want them to be in direct corrolation with your advanced tactic.

My idea is that you have an advanced formation screen format but for set pieces. so when a foul is commited in a certain part of the pitch your players would go to where you would have placed them according to your "set piece advanced formation screen". the same would apply for corners, goal kicks and throw ins. So as soon as the free kick is taken your advanced formation will take affect again.

penaltys should stay as they are otherwise a counter attack issue could arise.

now obviously players have to have a certain amount of space between the free kick taker and themselves, so i would suggest that no players can be places on top of the ball for defending free kicks.

for defending free kicks there could be a problem with "walls" so there should be a mandatory 2 player wall if you are defending a free kick withing 2 pitch squares of your own goal. which would be chose by being the 2 players closest to the freekick who are behind the ball on your set piece formation. so if you wanted your mids/attackers to sit in the wall while your defenders clear up loose balls you would just stick them in the next square behind the ball.

for corner kicks at the moment i'm pretty sure that where your players are placed on the corner squares of your advanced formation is sort of where they should be anyways so that may not have to be changed anyway.

The same probably also applies to Goal Kicks and throw ins so i dont think there is much more to say on them.

now obviously this will never be implented, this is just a thought of how simple it would be to solve this situation. 		15/03/2013 18:54

Are devs not interested in implementing suggestions?
The SM team should be a shorter one which is busy. The team grows when the game grows. So wait for it.
