I don't know if this suggestion was made earlier but i want to suggest that there be a salary cap attached to each division. For instance, the salary cap for a division 4 player should be less than a division 3 and also a division 2 player. It will make the game more realistic cos i find it funny how a team in division 5 can afford to pay his player 250,000$ even though his maximum earnings per match is 5mil and in some cases, he will have 14 or more players earning such high amount. Some players deliberately inflate their player salaries so as to get huge pay backs when hostiled. I also suggest that players with high average but playing in low leagues have lower motivation than their counterparts. For instance, a 60+ player in div 6 will have motivation less than 100. I also suggest that a player with high average but play in a team that gets relegated should have his buyout clause reduced by 50% immediately the new season starts and the applicable salary cap for the new division take effect. This will surely bring sanity and reality to the game | 09/04/2013 19:27 |

What you're suggesting is that Division 1 teams have all the power and can pay the best salaries and therefore are going to be able to hostile all of my good players because I'm in division 3 and I'm not allowed to pay players more than 500K a week. What if I find a 99prog player with a low average? Now I'm not able to hold onto him because he's got the max salary for my division and a division 1 team is going to be able to just steal him away. Also, lets say the salary cap for division 1 is 1 million, lets also say that there is suddenly a 99 average CF floating around and his clause with a 1 million dollar salary is 1 billion. That guy is just going to get hostiled every single day and passed around from team to team. The variable salary is there so you can protect your investments, for 90% of my players I pay them more than I need to, to make sure my high quality players will never be taken away from me. I probably don't need to pay a lot of them as much as I do, but some of them I do need to pay to ensure that they're on my team for the long term. |

bimbim007 said: This will surely bring sanity and reality to the game The reality of the modern game is high wages that's how teams work, look at any league in the world and you'll see the high earners and how they've climbed up leagues, it's a fact of the game that rich people will plough cash into teams, possibly lower league ones to raise them up, and the way to do that quite simply is pay big wages to big name stars even if it's division 6 or the premier league. The down side is that it doesn't always work though. |

This is a game and very little of this game emulates real life football. I do not like this idea. | 11/04/2013 11:51 |

I'm not a fan either. 5mil per home game is still 15-20 mil a week, 250K isn't even 2% of that. I know that was just an example but I'm putting it into perspective. And raising salary in order to inflate release clause is precisely the point. Plus, I like the way it is -1 from me |
