there should be a constant need for a player to be trained to give the game more realistic effect. No specific department training should be there so that the ability of manager is tested with respect to maintaining his team's avg.
How can a player sustain his abilities if he does not train.

The simple answer is because you cannot train all positions with the current training schedule.

If you focus on Gks then automatically other positions suffer and same thing applies to all other positions. Until the game allows individual training the idea is pretty useless.

the idea of individual training will work BUT if with current training schedule a criteria could be set like at least one training drill for a particular department in every 2 or 3 days, it might work with current situation also

So you want to set up training as follows:

Saves, Sprint, Running, Shots on Goal, Crossing the ball, Ball control .....

If you start doing this then it will take atleast 5-6 seasons for your player to even reach 80.

This simply does not work out.

thats the point of being close to real. none becomes a star in just one season. there should be a constant effort and plus managers will not get bored of this game as quickly as they are now.
BUT i see here a problem. the teams which are already developed, what could be done with them?
answer lies may be in divisional setup where almost same avg teams play with each other.

In real life football there are individual trainings 24/7. You dont have to make your other players warm the bench while your Gk trains that day. So please stop saying its close to real life.

And the teams in the higher div already have well developed teams so the idea of having divisional setup based on average is wrong. Do you see any 60 average team in div 1 or 2

I would have to disagree. Players train at a snails pace once they hit 70 average, and even high prog juniors take at least a season or two of intense training before you're able to use them in division 4. Like luci said, that means it would take forever to get a decent team. Now I suppose if we all started from scratch this wouldn't be as big an issue, and maybe a 60 average team would be the best, but we're not starting from scratch, so this isn't a good idea.

I don't think any idea to make training harder would be welcomed, for me training my forwards is one of the best parts of the game and I think by weakening that process the game would be diminished.
