This players history shows that this User directly purchased a player from him self. How is this possible?

You just set a direct purchase option on an auction and just pay the direct purchase like you would do on any transfer.

The reason why they do that is usually done when they want to change the release clause on a junior without have to resign them this locking them with the (R). Good for auctioning players for a standard price.

So they have set an auction and bought their own player so they can increase their release clause without locking them with (R).
