3 out of the last 6 games I've had the opposition score from a corner kick with their forward in an offside looking position..
I play a high defensive line...zonal marking
the goals haven't affected the results, so not really a problem, just interested if anyone else had this happen....
..............
edited the above..

That's impossible. There are no offsides in corner kicks. Never ever. 13/07/2013 13:14

I was trying to describe where the forward was in comparison to my defenders..
forward in 6 yard box defenders nearer 18 yard line..
I play a high defensive line and zone marking...

But it was a corner, there is no offside from a corner. 13/07/2013 14:27

I know there's no offside but my defenders are standing on the 18 yard line, the forward 6 yard line,
is it because I play a high defensive line with zone marking...
is this a common situation when using a high defensive line and zonal marking...

You can fix it if you move your defenders back, when the ball comes into zones which are closer to your goal line.

So mostly the first and second zones.

But doesn't that defeat object of playing a high defensive line ....
I just figured that on corners there would be a default setting were the defenders maked the other players

You would still play high defensive line, but not with corners. When the opponent comes so close to the goal, you don't want your players to be high up. 13/07/2013 19:05

on advanced formation the top left and top right squares are for corners when you are attacking and the bottom left and bottom right are for corners when you are defending
