Do you remember FISCALS would be in charge of the market value of the player. If manager A sells a player to manager B and that player is later sold to manager C then it means manager A no longer has a right to BUY BACK the player. So the BUY BACK is only applicable if 1. The player is still in his first team of transfer 2. If the manager that sold that player has the finances to buy him back depending on the market value fixed by FISCALS. |

I understand that whole point what you're trying to say, but what would be the point of such a clause when you could buy the player back from both manager B and/or manager C in this current system of transfers? If I sold a player to manager B else and I wanted to buy him back after a few seasons I would have to put in the appropriate amount of cash to manager B to buy him back as so long as he wants to sell back. If manager B sells to manager C, then I still have the option to buy the player from manager C as so long as he wants to sell and I give the right amount of cash. You have the ability to buy a player back right now without a buy back clause AND also the ability to buy a player back from manager C as so long as manager C wants to sell and you give the right amount of cash. Now, why would you limit yourself to a buy back clause when you are free to purchase a player from another manager as long as it fills the market price? It would only 1) add more complexity to the game 2) limit options and less options to sell 3) give more work for fiscals to do. I do not see how this would improve the game in any way, but this would only hamper manager experience in the game when you already have an option to do this. |

I have players I have bought and trained up that I would not want to sell at current market value, there are some players I would really only sell for their release clauses. As you get higher into the game available players become more scarce and just because you get fair value for them doesn't mean you can replace them. Fiscal prices work fine because if I say a player is worth 100 million, 2 people have to be happy with my number to do the deal. With what you're suggesting would happen a fiscal would give a price and then the manager would get the player, but what if my price was wrong? Then I screwed someone over. If I go to those same two people from above and I say the price is 100 when really it's 200, the seller might back out. With what you're suggesting, you can't. |

Bro you are yet to get something cleared here: 1. If manager B sells that same player to manager C then manager A can no longer buy back that player 2. Manager B cannot stop/refuse a BUY BACK from manager A 3. In HOSTILE the player is bought without the knowledge of the manager but in BUY BACK the manager would be given some days notice to let go of the player to enable him look for a replacement |

@Illex, are you saying that fiscals cannot set a good market value that would benefit you the seller. | 07/08/2013 22:17 |

@illex said: ...just because you get fair value for them doesn't mean you can replace them. This is my main problem with this suggestion. Maybe I just don't want to sell the player. Maybe I value the player more than the market. Maybe I expect LB/RB (for example) to suddenly be worth more than the market currently values them. Maybe @Fiscals don't want to get involved in this way. Perhaps the lack of understanding is not on everyone else's part, but rather on you not understanding that everything you've suggested is currently possible in either the same way, or better. |

The main benefit of this is that it can help you send a player excess to your squad because of his position to another team for grooming which would cost you lots of money to buy him back i.e you can sign a player for 10 million, sell him and buy him back for 40 million because of his new average and qualities. | 07/08/2013 22:33 |

In HOSTILE the player is bought without the knowledge of the manager but in BUY BACK the manager would be given some days notice to let go of the player to enable him look for a replacement You're not understanding me. I KNOW that you're trying to say with the buy back clause. I fully understand what a buy back clause is. You can ALREADY do all those things in the game RIGHT now. Why would you want a feature that would limit yourself in not allowing you to buy from manager C? Currently, you can buy from manager B and C as so long as they want to sell back. Everything you're trying to suggest is already in the available in the game. Currently in game: If you want to sell to manager B so you can buy that player back in the future, you can do that as long as he wants to sell back to you and market price is fair. If manager B sells to manager C, you still have the option to want negotiate with manager C with that player as long as he wants to sell back and with an appropriate price. What you're suggesting already exists because you are able to freely negotiate with any manager (as long as they want to) Why would you want to have a feature where you have to sell back to ONE manager? When you can sell to the whole market? If you really want to buy that player back that badly, then stump up the cash which you can do in this game right now. The main benefit of this is that it can help you send a player excess to your squad because of his position to another team for grooming which would cost you lots of money to buy him back i.e you can sign a player for 10 million, sell him and buy him back for 40 million because of his new average and qualities. You can already do such a thing without a buy back clause! If you have players that you do not need then sell them so you can improve your squad. You can buy that player back if that manager wants to sell him back for the right amount of money. This system already exists. You sell players you don't need, and you buy new players that improve your team. But what if the market value is determined by both the seller i.e manager B and fiscal What if manager B does not want to sell? You can't force another manager to sell a player unless you pay his release clause and I don't think any manager would want to have a clause where they have to sell that player back. This suggestion is a no go for me. Everything that you suggested can be replicated in the game without the formal restrictions and complexities. |

One thing about release clause is that it is determined by salary i.e high salary result in high release clause. So instead of signing your ex player via his release clause eg 100 million you get to buy him back for 70-80 million. | 07/08/2013 23:10 |
