Looking at the above i would say yes, as it has been mentioned you are responsible for your players name and information within. You would then be considered to have advertised your player to encourage hostiling and if the other person complained about it. 14/08/2013 11:25

Now if i had not forecast the player then i had sold him then what, could i still be penalised?

Yes Im afraid, there is no excuse, if you sell him with the wrong name then you will be penalized. If you link the player we canreset the name for free. If you wish to somplain about the seller, then send me a message.

@Grantis, How about if a manager, hostiles my player with an un-true FC?
Would i be penalized?

Yes you would.

Alright, now this begs for more explanation. Lets assume Manager A 'hostiles/buys from auction' a player with a fake nickname advertising higher progression. Manager A than happily doesn't cross check post purchase because of various reasons (lack of Gb's, doesnt care, thinks its genuine, etc). Now a Manager B, spots this player and hostiles him, runs the gb forecast and complains. Should Manager A be punished?, he did not put the player on Auction, so he did not really advertise. Manager B on the other hand did not do due diligence and hostiled.

In my opinion, Manager A should not be punished. This could be a very common scenario especially during the hostile season. Would invite @'s to clarify further.

It is classed as trying to lure a player to hostile 1 of your players. This could also be used to deter a player from hostiling your player i.e FC 40 PROG 50. Now you wouldn't hostile him would you although he could be FC95 PROG90. If the stats were the other way around and you somebody buys him then you have basically conned somebody into hostiling him. 14/08/2013 18:06

Spade the rule is quite clear, you are responsible for the nicknames on your players. Any fiscal can reset the name if asked. 14/08/2013 18:11

It is also aginst the rules to put a falsely low nickname on a player.
